This site is about the Serra dos Orgaos near Rio De Janeiro in Brazil. Serra dos Orgaos is a governmentally sponsored national park that is protected by the people of Brazil. It is part of the larger Mata Atlantica (also known as, the Atlantic Forest.) The Atlantic Forest is one the most bio-diverse rainforests of the world. There is only 9% left of what was the original forest before settlers from Europ started building their civilization.
