Feeling Better

So, I went to my endodontist appointment on Tuesday. I actually saw the original endodontist's partner - and he was really great. He asked me a bunch of questions, looked at my x-rays and felt like it was my #4 bicuspid that had had a root canal in April that was giving me so many problems. In the xray you could only see one canal filled. The canal that was filled also looked like it hadn't been filled deeply enough. This means that I have been living with an incomplete root canal and infection at the tip of it for around six months! No wonder I have been getting so sick and feeling like shit. He completed the root canal for me - which cost another $900 - but it was totally worth it. I have had almost no pain, in my gums or headaches and nausea since I walked into that office and was given three shots of novacaine. I'm quickly feeling like I am getting my strength back. I'm not quite as energetic as I was before I started getting an infection - but I am getting there!

I've realized over the past week that I want to start practicing transcendental meditation every day. I haven't been keeping up with yoga, which isn't good - but if I do meditation on the days I don't do yoga, at least I will be doing something to help me retain inner peace and reduce stress. Just because I'm lazy doesn't mean I can't try to reduce my stress and remain centered. :)

Today was my second day practicing it and I like it a lot! It's actually pretty easy.
