I Feel Like An Idiot

The timing belt on my Beetle broke and it ended up destroying the engine. Now I have to buy a new engine and as you might imagine it is not cheap. My parents let me borrow my old car (the fixed it up and kept it around the house as a back-up car), a 1991 Isuzu Stylus, and I have been using that to get back and forth to work. The car is actually not all that bad at all, except that it only has one working speaker. :( Santino has some speakers that were given to him by his ex-girlfriend and we are going to look into installing them into my Stylus just so I can have some tunage until I can get my Beetle fixed.

I am really in a very bad financial place right now and am probably going to have to open up a new credit account in order to borrow some money to get the Beetle engine fixed in a timely manner. Thank goodness I just started a new job that pays decently. It is going to take a while to recover from this though, and the fact that I still have to do my taxes and am getting married in May is making me feel that the recent events with my car have been catastrophic.
