Argh Anger

I had a pretty bad day today. The air conditioner was broken. I got a hospital bill for $800. I spent all day banging my head against the computer screen because of Dreamweaver CS3 decided to take a crap in one of the CSS documents I have been writing code to parse in Flash. The tooth I just had a root canal on is sore. I woke up with hives all over my arm. I don't think I like my new hair cut/color.

Yeah, I spent most of today pretty pissed off.

I think I'm over it now, though.

Howl's Moving Castle

I just rented it again and man am I in love with this movie! It's so romantic and imaginative, and deep and magical. I want to buy it.

I'm going to watch it again tonight.

Elegant Gothic Lolita

So recently when I was shopping for some clothes on ebay I came across a Japanese fashion trend that I am very drawn to. It's called "Elegant Gothic Lolita" and it's ethos is basically elegant clothes that are sort of all prim and proper but would traditionally be worn by young girls. Most of the clothes also tend to be black and white. I actually used to dress this way when I was into etheral goth back in trhe early nineties. From what I read the trend started in Japan in the late nineties and has been on the fringe of fashion in the West for the past few years. I have found some really amazing clothes on Japanese web sites but they are pretty expensive. Thankfully I found a designer in the States who will handmake some EGL clothes for you for a very reasonable price. My first purchase is probably going to be this dress:




It's going to go well with the new shoes I got I think.

Horrified

I woke up today and scoured all of the regular internet forums to which I belong and I saw a link to this video:



It's a video of the 21 year old University of Florida Student who questioned John Kerry about several incriminating things involving the 2004 election and his Skull N' Bones membership getting censored, arrested and tazered two days ago. It's sickening!

What's even worse is that one of the messageboards I read it on included several remarks by people who said he deserved the treatment he go because he was being an "annoying idiot". A couple of months ago I was actually considering taking a road trip to hang out with some of these people at one of their boat parties. Fuck that. Obviously I've been hanging out with the wrong people. It's time to spend some time conversing with people who I know for a fact are cool.

I finally found some shoes that I like

For the past year I have been searching for the perfect pair of shoes. I finally found them (at about 60% of the regular price!)

They are called Erika by Earth Shoes and they feature something called negative heel technology, which was developed by a yoga teacher to promote correct posture.


They are going to go great with all of the Elegant Gothic Lolita clothing I am going to purchase this winter. I'm getting ready to go through a major wardrobe overhaul. It's about time! :)
